Hexane or hexyl hydride is an organic compound of alkanes with the chemical formula C₆H₁₄. Hexane is usually used as the primary solvent for extracting oils from nuts and plant products cleaning wood materials. The fabric and furniture industries use this product constantly. Other applications of this product are creating some special adhesives in tile, shoe, and drying adhesives industries. This product is also widely used in areas where work temperature should be low, for instance, industries that operate at refrigeration temperatures. It is also generally used as a polar solvent in gas chromatography.
